PARDAC

by Brian fearless leader

Those pesky red shirts … they keep getting shot, eaten, zapped, and otherwise tormented. It’s got to be a risky job, so how does a Star Trek red shirt get insurance?

Ask a silly question, Brian writes a script to answer it. This is the PARDAC commercial, written by Brian Richardson & produced by Patrick Freeman for Dragon*Con 2004. Stephen Granade & Jason Wyatt star, with a special appearance by the rubber duck mom gave me as a birthday present (don’t ask).

Here is the excellent Masquerade entry from Foam Hair Productions.
They did an incredible job reminding the audience how many quarters we lost in the 80′s.

Video: Used Starship Sale

by spambrian

Sunday, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!! Again, Brian takes inspiration from bad TV commercials. After showing this video in the Buffy track, an audience member asked Brian if he made car commercials for a living. Tim’s great voiceover sells this spoof commercial.

Video: New Republic Technical College

by spambrian

Want a fresh start? Looking for a career? Then perhaps a career as a Stormtrooper is for you … There’s lots of theories on why the Stormtroopers in Star Wars: A New Hope are soooo much worse than the kick-butt Jango clones from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Brian’s theory is that they ran out of clones and replaced them with cheap labor from local trade schools … and trade schools always need a good TV ad.

Video: Stormtroopers Gone Wild

by spambrian

This is what happens when Brian watches too many commercials.

Take your average Imperial foot soldier, add some alcohol … this is what you get (at least in the mind of Brian Richardson). This is Dragon*Con’s answer to the “Girls Gone Wild” video … quite possibly the funniest thing we’ve ever conceived for a DCTV video.

Edited & Written by Brian Richardson; Voiceover by Timothy Gott
Featuring: TK503 (“jeff”), Paul Hogan, Elivs Trooper, TD131
