Now, that is something that Mattel should do, in a big licencing coup, they would get the honor of making The Star Wars See And Say Toy.

At least George Lucas himself would personally sign his name on the dotted line of the contract and he would also have a limted number of the Star Wars See and Say toys be signed by George Lucas himself, in which one of these toys would end up causing a great bidding war at the Dragon Con Charity Auction!

Thanks for the feedback. We’re working on the volume issue (bringing in different formats & feeds of audio = adding auto-leveling software). The schedule should have been posted in the program but we’ll improve that for 2012.

While the connectivity in the Marriott was an issue, when it was working I found that the wildly varying volume levels were quite unfortunate. During several programs, it was necessary to crank the volume to the TV’s maximum just to hear anything at all….and inevitably when that item ended, the speakers were nearly blown out by returning to “normal” audio levels of the bumpers, etc. For future reference, it really would be nice to see some consistency in terms of volume during the panels and/or other events.

Also, would love to see a schedule of which panels will be broadcast or re-broadcast during D*C so we can plan accordingly. If there already is one, please let us know. Thanks!

Hey guys… Loving the feed in the Marriott, but the volume for the panels is sooooooo low. Had to turn the volume up to around 56 just to hear them talking. Then when it switches to the bumpers, we nearly blow the speakers and our eardrums… Can you fix the levels? Thanks! great stuff!

I really think that whoever came up with a classic cheese commercial and combined with old horror movie music was pretty original.

1). You have this cheese that looks like it’s being inspected for aging

You certainly succeeded in being highly entertaining! The problem doesn’t seem to be him making another movie – it’s just a problem if he makes TWO movies. So one should be fine (although 93% of the world will hate it).

Argh, I must have completely blotted The Happening from my memory. Good catch. Sadly, The Happening pulls his percentage up to -3% in two movies.

I’d left off The Sixth Sense from the 2nd graph because it was overwriting the left axis, but in the new version that’s not a real problem.

Left off The Happening. It fits in between Lady in the Water and The Last Airbender, and got a 34%. Lady got a 36%, so it’s still a decline (albeit a smaller one) that shouldn’t screw up the chart too much. Also, the second version of the chart is missing the title for The Sixth Sense. Just saying.

I played this game almost 4 years ago and I was just as bored as they were. I mean, who has time to sit around play something like this? For one, my character never did anything but stand guard and watch for giant insects. Two, the DM was a control freak to the max. “No off topic conversations.” So, I almost fell asleep. Oh, that was supposed to be Rick Astley inserted into the Duck Dodgers cartoon during the Masquerade break? We were in the overflow room in the Marriott and couldn’t quite tell. Both picture and sound were REALLY bad during the entire event.

Things weren’t much better trying to watch DCTV in the Marriott rooms. For the second year in a row, there was no sound for the first day and a half of the con.

I’m currently editing my DragonCon 2005 photos (yeah, yeah, so I’m running 2.5 years behind), and I got to the ones of being way up high on the top floor of one of the hotels, making fun of the ant people, as famously suggested to us by dragoncon tv. But I’m this obsessively compulsive labeler of all my photos, and I couldn’t remember which hotel that was again anymore. And so Google led me here. Man, am I glad for having such a bad memory! late one evening (Sunday) at the recent (2007) con I saw a “Star Trek meets Babylon 5″ film which had awesome effects work. It seemed to be in Russian with English subtitles. I think Sheridan’s name was “Cherrypie” or something like that. Anyway, I want to see this again when I’m not drunk. Any news on this film?

it got posted on the D*Con LJs, but I’m sorry I didn’t email you guys strait away, that was my bad. I got into drinking early and had to have a minion do all the contacting people stuff, and he was drinking too

on the up side, only a little booze made it home, some mead and some of out Blue Stuff. I still need to get rid of it though, if you guys are bored. or yea, and I need to spend some sober time figuring out how to embed this one in our group site, since it’s awesome

and next year, email a phone number in advance, I did manage to drunk-dial a lot of people (or at Chattacon or Frolicon or anywhere else my peoples happen to show up)

Well … I don’t have the time to create subtitles for every video we have, and I don’t want to put permanent subtitles on the videos (so folks aren’t forced to see the subtitles if they don’t want them).

So there’s a file format (.srt) that allows subtitles to be downloaded as a file & merged with the videos (using software like VLC Player).

Actually I DO have that clip. It is pretty funny.. I might just have to post it.

And as far as Luke Ski goes… I’m a huge fan of his! He rocks muchly. And I did post his Potter/Baby Got Back song from the previous year but it was part of the competition and this year he was a performing guest. You’re absosmurfly correct on the connection to the Dog-Alien and the AD&D Pimp Mind-Flayer and Voldo and I can’t remember what else; this year, I was the supporting Jedi in the skit.

But WOW, Thomas, I got a one-second view of your Durge costume this past year — I kept being in the wrong place at the wrong time — and that was fantastic!

Thank you for posting this gentleman’s performance. I am glad to see his effort getting some of the recognition it deserves.

This General Grievous costume was cleverly constructed. For instance, to create the illusion of life in the false set of hands, the free fingers were attached on wobbling springs.

I thought this was the same gentleman who created the bubbling Pimp Cthulhu in 2003, and the Dog-Alien in 2004. However it may be, I tip my hat to the creator of this Grevious.

Whatever happened to the footage of Anakin bowing to Palpatine, and then Palpatine rips of his hood to reveal Jar Jar? The screams from AoME’s Anakin were hilarious, when all was silent upstairs and all you hear is “GGAAAAAAHHHH!!!” from the basement! Would have been hilarious to see that footage!

Hey guys! Dragon*Con TV was hysterical. Especially the “questions” that were sent in and answered. It really made the time go by while waiting on panels and was a great source for inside jokes the entire weekend. It was also great for when you got back to the hotel room at 7:30 am and had nothing to do but follow that classic pyramid for the hangover/I-feel-like-I-got-pushed-down-the-Hyatt-stairwell feelings. Anyways, keep up the good work guys! I’m really looking foward to next year! Y’all made the whole weekend.

Dragon*con 05 was great. I wish we could have a DVD to laugh out loud with our friends you missed it. (and point at them and say -look at what you missed!) We had a great time and are planning next year’s Dragon*con. I hope you can sell DVD’s at the Dragon*con store so when everyone leaves, they can show it off, on what a great job you all did. If you put out a request for actors for extras, I’m sure you could get some help for fresh faces or sexy voice overs. Thanks for making our wait time at the Firefly/Serenity panels so much more enjoyable. Keep it up. I can’t wait for next year to see if you can out do this year.

Wow, Dragon Con 2005 was a blast. I moved to Atlanta about 10 weeks ago, picked up a Loaf, and was reminded of DragonCon. Holy crap I haven’t been in 9 years! Well It was fun as hell, and I’m can’t wait for next year.

Nice going to the organizers. The only thing is that they need to publsh a detail schedule of events on the web by day & hotel & room. Not by Tracks. I missed Dean Hagland. Damn! But I did gett

Pretty funny. I did the full thriller dance once…well 4 times…on a moving trailer during a home coming parade. I memorized it from the video and everything. Well, I don’t want to speak on Tony’s behalf, but I will say he has a new hilarious DVD out now called “Rage Against The Mundane”, which you can pick up at his website mentioned earlier.

I am working on my next CD “Un-convention-al”, which will be out in June (hopefully) and will feature songs about Star Wars (Eps 3 & 4), Firefly, SpongeBob, and more. So you’ll see that and my previous hits like “Stealing Like A Hobbit”, “Star Wars Trilogy Homesick Blues”, “What’s Up Spock?”, “Fanboy”, and more at my big half-time show at the D*C 2005 Masquerade!

Hehe. We made it JUST FOR those five people! It was always funny to hear reactions to it during the Con. First, people chuckled, then they sat silently until the billboard, then they laughed, then there were mixed chuckles. THEN after it was over, you could hear people explaining it to each other. We shot this video in a sculpture studio in the East Tennessee State University Art Annex. The background was actually tables and shelves containing pieces of pottery. James, the camera master, juggled the lights to create a solid black background. We managed to impress ourselves.

Hey… if anyone is having trouble with it… what you do is click on the link Video: James Marsters PSA…etc.

Then, if it doesn’t open, go to file in quickplayer and choose open in URL (or something similar).

Then copy the URL at the top of the page… it should end in marsters.mov

Paste it into the URL and wait for it load… the dotted line at the bottom becomes whole… blah blah blah and when thats done play it.

The first time i did it, James voice was outta sync with the pic (is there a technical term for that? if there is i dont know it). if you play it a second time it should clear up by itself.

BTW i just downloaded the latest quicktime so you may need to update

i can’t get it to work either… ohhhh, i just checked and it’s cuz i don’t have quicktime. Maybe after i download it, it will work.
